Introduction – Justice & Relief for Victims under the SC/ST Act

The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 is one of India’s most powerful human-rights laws.
It protects citizens belonging to SC and ST communities from atrocities, discrimination, and violence—and guarantees monetary relief and rehabilitation to victims or their families.

In 2025, the Government of India and several state governments, including Madhya Pradesh, revised compensation amounts and process guidelines.
To help victims, families, and NGOs estimate compensation instantly, LSO Legal Private Limited has developed India’s first online SC/ST Atrocity Relief Calculator  Click Here to Use Calculator

    Legal Framework of Compensation
